Christmas 2020 is wonky! Let's do something great together!

Christmas 2020 has gone a bit wonky! So let’s do something about that!

Usually, I would write a Christmas greetings email at this time of year but I feel sad about Christmas whilst we are experiencing the pandemic here in 2020.

I want to do something different.

I would like invite you to join me in supporting something that has really resonated with me recently and seeks to help thousands of families, who can’t afford it, to get food this Christmas, here in the UK.

Family YouTuber, LadBaby, has released a single that is aiming for the Number One spot in the UK Album Charts. All profits from the single will be given to the Trussell Trust as they seek to feed families across the UK.

Don’t Stop Me Eatin’, is a parody of Don’t Stop Believing by Journey and is on target to be LadBaby’s third consecutive Christmas Number One.

All three of the singles are raising money for this cause. If it makes it, the single will raise awareness about UK poverty and will literally help the Trussell Trust to deliver food to thousands of families across the UK.

Why am I supporting this?

In 2020, I have delivered many webinars about dyslexia and self-esteem. We all know that getting support for our children with dyslexia often involves a pay wall e.g private assessments, tutoring etc. It’s great if you have the cash to be able to pay for these things. Many can’t and so if a child is struggling with their dyslexia and self-esteem AND their families are struggling to even to be able to afford food, then how can those hungry kids focus when they get back to school? It becomes a vicious cycle.

The Trussell Trust doesn’t (as far as I know) have a connection with Dyslexia, but what they are doing (in my opinion) is essential work helping families in our community as well. UK starvation should not be happening. I thought I would see if you and the rest of our community could help this campaign to get LadBaby to Number One so that the money raised helps families rather than line the pockets of a popstar!
