How assistive technology helps to build good self-esteem for dyslexic students.

How does having the right tech in place at school or college help a dyslexic student to feel good about themselves? Check out this webinar from the Northamptonshire Buckinghamshire Dyslexia Association.

The above webinar was hosted by The Northamptonshire Buckinghamshire Dyslexia Association and what I was trying to convey is just how important it is for dyslexic students to meet all their needs in order for them to be at their best when tackling academic tasks.

In recent articles I have been working with Claro Software’s Stuart Marsden to talk about how to take the stress out of writing essays.

The reality is, if we feel that we are not able to do a task that is given to us then we will feel overwhelm and if we continue to feel overwhelm then we start to apply that to every academic task, we just start believing in one’s inability to be able to achieve the task.

In the video below, Stuart Marsden talks about this very problem and tackles this topic head on with strategies that are designed to help a student to think differently about academic work in a way that takes away the stress.

What are your thoughts about these videos?
